Norman F. Strike
A printmaker since 1976, is largely self-taught, although he has studied printmaking at Ann Zahn's art studio in Bethesda, MD and has taken classes in printmaking through the Smithsonian Institution and the Pyramid Atlantic Workshop. One of the founding members of the Washington Printmakers' Gallery, he is currently a member of the Takoma Artists' Guild in Takoma Park MD where he has a studio. His prints have received awards for merit in exhibitions of the Laurel Arts Guild at the Montpelier Cultural Arts Center in 1997 and 1999. Frances Hughes Glendenning, Maryland's First Lady, chose to include his work in an exhibition of Maryland artists at the Government House in Annapolis in 1998.
